About
Hi, my name is Cristina, I am suitable for ‘plus size modelling’ – age range 30-50 years. I have been expertly mentored on how to ‘look’ and ‘feel’ good ‘In Front of the Camera’ by Sabine Gruchet, very skilled in the modelling industry, at her various Plus Size Modelling Workshops. It is here that I began to learn how to model themed ‘looks,’ such as Retro, Bo-Ho, Eveningwear, casual & plus size dresses, in a way that fit and flatter the more ‘curvy’ figure. I learned a good variety of ‘classic’ fashion poses that make the image look ‘natural’ and enhance the nature of the garment. From here, I was published in Sabine Gruchet’s online clothing website some years ago, wearing a retro ‘polka dot’ inspired wrap dress flattering ladies of all shapes and sizes. Having done numerous ‘makeover photoshoots’ I have a wealth of experience of ‘working’ with different kinds of photographers and getting expert tuterlidge in a vast genre of ‘looks.’ These awesome ‘looks’ have been ‘vintage/retro,’ ‘modern’ online clothing styles, amazing ‘Pinup & Classic Hollywood’ styles, (from The Pinup Academy), outdoor casual wear, digital photography creative posing and beautiful modest boudoir modelling (from Nicola My Boudoir). The boudoir modelling led me to feature in an online prestigious Pinup/Retro/Classical Hollywood Style/plush boudoir magazine called ‘Bombshell’ (run by Nicola Grimshaw-Mitchell, from Nicola My Boudoir). My published name is Monique Lamarr. Getting directions, guidance and advice how to pose well occasionally using props, is invaluable experience, especially when doing a ‘fantasy photographic look, as ‘creativity’ and ‘imagination’ really help (as with ALL modelling-trying to get that desired look), bearing in mind what the final image is going to look like. For ‘body-positivity, as a curvy lady myself, I have taken part in beach photoshoots with like-minded ladies with ‘Positively Perfect UK.’ Also I have taken part in a charity Valentine’s Fashion Show, where I provided all my own dresses and that lead to some of my pictures from the day being published in an online magazine. I have also had some ‘theatrical, experience! (all due to my Greyhound), as I played the Baron’s Greyhound Handler in Ellen Kent’s operatic production of Rigoletto, where Wilma my Greyhound, along with her friend, Greyhound Harry & I had to appear on stage during an aria in full costume at The New Theatre, Oxford. I do hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for taking the time to read my resume, kind regards, Cristina.
