About
I am a mother of a five-year-old ASD boy, who is my world. Therefore, a lot of my time I spend in reading about that matter.
I am highly responsible, and that’s why, sometimes, I think a lot before I take a decision or make a choice, especially when there’re involved other people.
I love animals. I have a Labrador Retriever.
I remember, when I was a kid, I dreamed to work in a zoo, or to become a Vet.
Apart of being with my family and friends, sometimes, I love to spend time alone, being with my inner me. In those luxurious moments, I like to do long walks in the nature; to read a book (the most recent one I read is “Norwegian Wood” by Haruki Murakami); to listen favourite tracks.
I like different styles of music, but I could say that, “Muse” are one of my favourite rock bands.
Another thing that I love to do is jogging and yoga, though in the second one I am a beginner.
Academically, I am an Accounting technician, and I’m continuing my studying by including Business Administration. So, I am not only a mother, but a student as well.
I recall, how twelve years ago, I did my University Economic’s degree in Bulgaria (where I am originally from), left my job as a manager in a retail fast-food restaurant, where I spent seven years, and came to London.
I started from the zero. Then, I enrolled in a college immediately, to learn the language. I was working different jobs as developing my own business in the regular cleaning field; then I was a nanny for a couple of years; an Amazon Flex driver – a flexible job, fast money, no obligations; and an accounting assistant. All to be able to keep studying and pay the bills as any ordinary person.
When I got my son’s condition, him, being in the Autistic spectrum, my world turned upside down. I focused into this field, leaving everything else aside (meaning my development in The Accounting and starting a permanent job). I had to learn how to be helpful to him, how to understand his needs, how to fight for his rights. I tuned into a Speech & Language therapist, I turned into an Occupational Therapist.
Now, he is developing magnificently and I can continue improving myself as well.
You might be thinking, “Why did you choose the model industry?”
I will be honest. I took it as a challenge. Something new. Something that I have never imagined I would dive in.
I am quite narcissistic. I love to take myself photos, though I don’t post them in the social media. I was told that, I am photogenic and expressive. I listened to my intuition. So, I decided, that there must be a reason to possess this narcissistic nature of mine, and to turn it into something valuable.
And here I am.
Hi, my name is Gergana Dimitrova.
My friends call me Gerry.
