I’m Rob, someone who is highly oriented to the growth mindset – and I don’t use that as a cliche. Please see the below examples!
Thanks to my relationship with critical feedback: I was voted captain & president of my university rugby team, and qualified for the British Development Team in alpine skiing. On every sports team that I’ve been on that has had practice, I was voted captain.
Regarding work ethic: In my last year of university, I had a fall and was in a coma for a month. I woke up and left the hospital, before graduating on time and starting a full-time job two weeks after graduation. This was while I was dealing with: loss of sight in one eye, severe hearing loss, and relearning to walk.
Regarding my curiosity: I stayed an extra year at university to triple-major in Finance, MIS, and Philosophy. As mentioned above, I was interrupted and didn’t finish the second two, though still learned a lot from this coursework!
I also love creative outlets and learning about other perspectives, and have performed at a comedy open mic for this reason.
So, in summary, I’m a good listener with bad hearing.
